Job summary

Wesley Methodist School is seeking a Facility Executive to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain an attractive learning environment. You will manage the site's facilities, supervise security personnel, and coordinate with the facility and finance teams to plan maintenance and cost proposals.

The role requires a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) and at least 3 years of relevant experience, plus strong communication, attention to detail, and time management.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of M&E.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and facilities in safe operating condition.
• Maintain school furniture and fittings.
• Monitor, assess and review external contractors on site.
• Carry out regular inspections on school buildings and grounds and submit reports.
• Prepare cost proposals for maintenance tasks with facility and finance managers.
• Ensure a clean internal environment for conducive learning.
• Plan and enforce cleaning procedures and duty rosters for workers.
• Ensure all areas including the canteen conform to health and safety laws.
• Manage and supervise security personnel and overall activities.

About the role

The Facility Executive plays a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the School run smoothly, ensuring effective methods are put into place so that there is an attractive and vibrant environment for learning. The Facility Executive will ensure the effective management of the site at all times including during the school holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, upkeep and ensure building and facilities are in safe operating condition
• Maintain furniture and fittings of the school
• Monitor, assess and review external contractors employed on site
• Carry out regular inspections on school buildings, grounds and submit report
• Prepare proposals for costs for the various maintenance and repair task in liaison with facility and finance manager
• Ensure a clean internal environment of the school premises for a conducive learning experience
• Plan and enforce cleaning procedure and duty roster for workers
• Ensure all areas of the school including the canteen conform to current health and safety legislation
• Ensure a safe environment for the stakeholders of the school Manage and supervise the overall activities of the security personnel

About you

• Possess minimum Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil) or equivalent
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field
• Good communication skill and knowledgeable in M&E
• Positive attitude towards work
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated
• High level of attention to details and accuracy
• High level of time management and ability to work with conflicting priorities
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience in property/facility management (desirable)
