Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking a capable Engineering/Facilities Manager to oversee M&E operations at our Kuala Lumpur site. You will coordinate engineers, supervise maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

In this role you will lead incident response, vendor management, and reporting, delivering reliable facilities performance while maintaining strong client relations with stakeholders and Head Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering, facilities management, M&E operations, or integrated facilities management.
• Strong experience in managing M&E systems and building services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key focal point between the company and customer for M&E and general engineering operations.
• Lead day-to-day engineering operations, team performance, incident management, and operational excellence.
• Monitor and resolve customer complaints and operational issues within agreed timelines.
• Assist the Facility Manager in planning, monitoring, and executing installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of engineering systems.
• Support the development and implementation of the annual Operations Excellence Blueprint, including risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety and health regulations, QSHE policies, and company standards.
• Manage vendors and contractors, monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, and escalate risks where required.
• Oversee site operations, handover, documentation, compliance records, health and safety, and facility requirements.
• Prepare and present monthly engineering/hard services reports, dashboards, performance analysis, and management reports.
• Lead site team coordination and provide operational leadership to Engineers, Executives, and Supervisors while communicating with customers, vendors, and Head Office.

• Prepare and present monthly engineering/hard services reports, dashboards, performance analysis, and management reports in accordance with contract requirements.
• Lead site team coordination and provide operational leadership to Engineers, Executives, and Supervisors while maintaining effective communication with customers, vendors, and Head Office.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering, facilities management, M&E operations, or integrated facilities management.
• Strong experience in managing M&E systems, building services, maintenance, and engineering operations.
