Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites an experienced Electrical Engineer to maintain HV/MV/LV distribution systems and lead PM/PdM activities for electrical reliability. You will oversee SCADA/PQMS, energy usage, and compliance with ST regulations, while coordinating inspections and project handovers.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E. in Electrical Engineering with REM Type 1 certification, 5+ years in semiconductor/high-tech facilities, and strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Facility Electrical experience, preferably in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
• REM Type 1 certification is required; REM Type 2 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV distribution, SCADA/PQMS, power quality, protection and energy management.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, RCA/CAPA, QA/QC, T&C and project handover.
• Knowledge of EHS, HIRARC, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor HV/MV/LV electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, busway, UPS, AVC, generators, protection and earthing systems.
• Perform PM/PdM, troubleshooting, fault analysis, RCA and CAPA to ensure electrical reliability.
• Manage Electrical SCADA & PQMS and monitor power quality, electrical loading and energy consumption.
• Coordinate Competent Engineer inspections and follow up on findings.
• Maintain electrical procedures, checklists, LOTO records, SLDs, drawings and test reports.
• Support electrical projects including design review, QA/QC, T&C, line walk, punch‑list closure, buy‑off and handover.
• Manage energy performance and statutory reporting to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Coordinate MES activities for Electrical & Fire Fighting Systems and manage PM schedules.
• Ensure compliance with ST regulations, electrical safety, LOTO/PTW and IEC/IEEE standards.
• Manage contractors and support shutdowns, energisation, emergency troubleshooting and power recovery.
• Support EHS, EPMC, HIRARC, EAI and environmental compliance.
• Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 activities.
