Job summary

TTM Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is hiring a Facilities Technician (open to fresh graduates) to operate and maintain facilities equipment according to SOPs and regulations, and to help with daily factory operations.

The role involves troubleshooting downtime, performing preventive maintenance, completing work orders and logs, and reporting issues to the Facility Engineer. You must be willing to work 12-hour shifts when plant runs 24/7, and participate in safety drills.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a SPM, SPVM, Certificate or Diploma in Science or technical field.
• At least 1 year of on-site technical experience in facility systems (Mechanical background).
• Experience in chemical handling, confined space certification, and PLC knowledge is advantageous.
• AO Electrical Chargeman certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia and electrical system knowledge is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, independent, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facilities equipment per SOPs and regulations.
• Assist daily factory operations, troubleshoot and resolve downtime.
• Perform tasks under Preventive Maintenance program.
• Accurately complete work orders, timesheets, spare parts lists and logbook entries.
• Report completed tasks, unresolved issues, and equipment anomalies to the Facility Engineer promptly.
• Participate in safety inspections, drills, and hazard identification walks.
• Assist in special projects, facility modifications, and departmental initiatives.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions from Facility Engineer and Management promptly and accurately.

To operate and maintain all facilities equipment according to standard operating procedure and regulations

To assist factory's daily operation, troubleshoot and resolve any downtime incident

To perform tasks as outlined by Preventive Maintenance program

Accurately complete work orders, timesheets, spare part list and logbook entries

Report all completed tasks, unresolved issues, and equipment anomalies to the Facility Engineer immediately

Willing to work in rotating shift as per request by management

Participate in safety inspections, drills, and hazard identification walks

Assist in special projects, facility modifications, and departmental initiatives as requested by management

Follow all written and verbal instructions provided by the Facility Engineer and Management promptly and accurately

Education, Qualification Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a SPM, SPVM, Certificate or Diploma in Science or technical field.

Preferably candidate who are self-motivated, resourceful, independent, and pro-active

At least 1 year of on-site technical experience in facility system (Mechanical Background)

Skills And Knowledge Requirements (If Any)

Experience in chemical handle, confined space cert & PLC knowledge will be an added advantage

Candidate which possesses AO Electrical Chargeman from Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia and knowledge in electrical system will be an added advantage

Willing to work on 12 hrs shift when the plant is running in 24 hrs operation

Basic knowledge in Computer included Microsoft office (Power Point, Excel & Word)

Possess right attitude, good personality, teamwork, cooperative and discipline/tardiness
