Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to keep facilities safe and productive.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, responding to work orders, and coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to keep the facility safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving building systems and equipment (HVAC, fume scrubber, electrical, mechanical).
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, air compressor, cooling tower, building ventilation, fume scrubber, electrical power supply, and city water pumping systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• 2. Diagnose and repair issues involving building systems and equipment, including HVAC, fume scrubber, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• 3. Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the following building infrastructure:
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System
  • Air Compressor System
  • Cooling Tower System
  • Building Ventilation System
  • Fume Scrubber System
  • Electrical Power Supply System
  • City Water Pumping System
• 4. Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests and work orders.
• 5. Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth facility operations.

Education & Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work extended hours and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Malaysian Special Skills Certificate (Preferred)
