Job summary

UNILIN (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a facilities maintenance professional in Kedah to maintain and troubleshoot plant systems. The role covers electrical distribution, air systems, boilers, HVAC, water, fire protection, and waste management to ensure reliable production operations.

The candidate will lead maintenance activities, supervise technicians, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support safety, energy efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• DOSH and AO/A4 competency certifications preferred.
• Strong safety mindset, supervisory skills, problem-solving ability, accountability and teamwork.

Job description

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving facility systems and infrastructure to ensure reliable operations, safety compliance and continuous support for production and business activities. The role covers utilities and facility systems including electrical distribution, air compressors, boilers and steam systems, HVAC, chilled water, dehumidifiers, dust collection systems, water supply, fire protection, building infrastructure and waste management.

Key responsibilities

Ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Supervise technicians and lead maintenance and improvement activities.

Perform breakdown troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Drive improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Oversee contractors' and vendors' work to ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and timely project completion.

Maintain technical documentation and reports.

Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

a) Education & Experience

Minimum Certificate or Diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience; DOSH and AO/A4 competency certifications are preferred.

b) Behavioral Skills

Strong safety mindset, supervisory skills, problem-solving ability, accountability and teamwork.

c) Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of facility systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, TPM and equipment improvement.
