Job summary

Vantage Data Centers seeks a skilled Facility Shift Manager in Malaysia to lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, maintaining critical data center infrastructure and uptime. This role is site-based and focuses on safe, reliable operations and rapid incident response.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met. A seasoned professional with strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work on shift and between shifts to ensure seamless operations
• Primary escalation point for on-shift CFEs
• Assign tasks to on-shift CFEs and monitor progress
• Drive high-level tasks and projects to completion
• Support creation/review of MOPs/SOPs/EOPs for critical work
• Perform duties with minimal supervision and in teams
• Manage multiple projects and vendor activities
• Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain safety
• Maintain logs, shift handover reports, and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability and efficiency
• Support change management, commissioning and integration of new infra
• Mentor junior engineers and shift technicians
• Ensure compliance with EH&S and sustainability requirements
