Job summary

JLL in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee building systems, coordinate maintenance, and support exceptional facility services for clients. You will work with the Facilities Manager to implement best practices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires hands-on operations, strategic planning, and a proactive approach to energy efficiency and space optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or property management roles.
• Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and occupant comfort.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, work orders, and service requests while ensuring timely resolution and quality standards.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for operational improvements.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, including contract oversight, performance evaluation, and invoice processing.
• Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate urgent repairs while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the resolution process.
