Job summary

JLL in Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of terminal facilities, including cleaning, landscape, pest control, waste disposal, and vendor coordination. The role ensures compliance with safety standards and drives continuous improvement in operations.

The successful candidate will monitor infrastructure, manage service schedules, and lead monthly/quarterly reviews while coordinating with contractors and internal teams to minimize disruption.

Qualifications

• Physically fit to work in a terminal environment and pass fitness-to-work assessment.
• Capable of managing a large number of outsourced workers.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in English and Malay; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the in-house maintenance team and address daily maintenance issues promptly.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure facilities meet quality and safety standards.
• Oversee planning and execution of cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and waste management.
• Coordinate training programs with vendors for cleaners and maintenance staff.
• Act as site lead for end-to-end operations, reporting, and budget proposals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reviews and reporting.
• Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Support renovation or refurbishment projects with contractors and minimize disruption.
