Job summary

Open DC Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru seeks a skilled electrical facilities operator to monitor and maintain critical electrical infrastructure within its data centers.

You will handle HT/LV systems, transformers, switchgears, generators, UPS, batteries, PDUs, and distribution networks, ensuring high availability and safety compliance. Candidates should have 2–5 years in electrical facilities or data centers, strong troubleshooting and fault analysis skills, and familiarity with CMMS/BMS/DCIM

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical facility operations, data centers, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS, batteries, switchgear, transformers, and power monitoring systems.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of critical facility electrical infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS/BMS/DCIM systems and preventive maintenance practices is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on shifts, standby duties, and respond to emergency call-outs when required.

• Respond to emergency incidents, power failures, and equipment breakdowns to restore operations within agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection reports, and technical documentation.

Responsibilties:

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure within the data center, including HT/LV systems, transformers, switchgears, generators, UPS, batteries, PDUs, and electrical distribution systems.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum system availability and reliability.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electrical equipment and power systems.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities carried out by contractors and service vendors.
• Respond to emergency incidents, power failures, and equipment breakdowns to restore operations within agreed service levels.
• Assist in planning and executing shutdown activities, electrical switching operations and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Support facility audits, energy efficiency initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Chargeman, Facilities Manager, or Head of Department.
