Job summary

The Toast F&B Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple F&B outlets, drive operational excellence, and ensure consistent execution of SOPs across all venues.

Lead and coach Outlet Managers, monitor sales, food and labour costs, manage stock and inventory, and work with Finance to improve P&L performance. Strong leadership, communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and willingness to travel between outlets are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in restaurant, café, kopitiam or related F&B operations.
• Minimum 3 years managing multiple F&B outlets.
• Proven experience managing at least four outlets or operations of comparable scale.
• Hands-on experience in both FOH & BOH SOP execution.
• Strong stock control, cost control and report analysis skills.
• Experience managing Outlet/Area Managers.
• Strong understanding of sales analysis, inventory, food cost, labour cost and reporting.
• Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced restaurant operations.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple F&B outlets.
• Ensure consistent execution of FOH and BOH SOPs across all outlets.
• Monitor outlet performance, sales, profitability, food and labour costs, and KPIs.
• Lead, coach and develop Outlet Managers and leadership teams.
• Analyze sales and inventory reports to identify improvements.
• Ensure stock control and wastage management.
• Drive cost control while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
• Handle operational challenges and customer issues with corrective actions.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and company standards.
• Support new outlet openings and business expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance on outlet P&L performance.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business, Operations Management or related field is preferred. Candidates with strong relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and able to interpret POS reports.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel frequently between outlets.
• Able to work during weekends, public holidays and operational emergencies when required.

About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring consistent execution of operational standards, improving business performance, developing outlet management teams, and achieving company sales and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple F&B outlets.
• Ensure consistent execution of Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) SOPs across all outlets.
• Monitor outlet performance, sales, profitability, food cost, labour cost and operational KPIs.
• Lead, coach and develop Outlet Managers, Assistant Managers and outlet leadership teams.
• Analyse sales, inventory and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure effective stock control, inventory accuracy and wastage management.
• Drive cost control initiatives while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Handle operational challenges, customer complaints and implement effective corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company standards.
• Support new outlet openings, operational improvements and business expansion initiatives.
• Work with Finance to understand outlet P&L performance.
