Job summary

The Toast F&B Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Operation Manager to oversee multiple F&B outlets and drive operational excellence.

You will ensure SOPs across FOH & BOH, monitor sales and costs, lead Outlet Managers, and develop teams to deliver consistent service. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytics, and willingness to travel between outlets; weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in restaurant, café, kopitiam or related F&B operations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple F&B outlets.
• Must have proven experience managing at least four outlets or operations of comparable scale.
• Hands-on experience in both FOH & BOH SOP execution.
• Must possess strong Stock Control, Cost Control and Report Analysis skills.
• Experience managing Outlet Managers, Assistant Managers or Area Managers.
• Strong understanding of sales analysis, inventory management, food cost, labour cost and operational reporting.
• Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced restaurant operations.
• Experience managing multilingual and foreign worker teams is an advantage.
• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business, Operations Management or related field is preferred. Candidates with strong relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and able to interpret POS reports.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel frequently between outlets.
• Able to work during weekends, public holidays and operational emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple F&B outlets.
• Ensure consistent execution of Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) SOPs across all outlets.
• Monitor outlet performance, sales, profitability, food cost, labour cost and operational KPIs.
• Lead, coach and develop Outlet Managers, Assistant Managers and outlet leadership teams.
• Analyse sales, inventory and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure effective stock control, inventory accuracy and wastage management.
• Drive cost control initiatives while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Handle operational challenges, customer complaints and implement effective corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company standards.
• Support new outlet openings, operational improvements and business expansion initiatives.
• Work with Finance to understand outlet P&L performance.
