Job summary

Trendcell in Malaysia is seeking a cafe/food service operative to manage daily operations at Sunway Geo Avenue. You will handle customer service, food preparation, and ensure smooth cross-station coordination to deliver fast, consistent service.

Responsibilities include maintaining food quality per brand standards, conducting daily checks, managing inventory, and adhering to hygiene practices. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays while meeting KPIs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced cafe/restaurant or food production; fresh candidates welcome.
• Understanding of Food Safety and Operation compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with operations, executives, and suppliers.
• Ability to travel to different regional locations as required.
• Hands-on, capable of following SOP while open to new menu ideas and suggestions.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.
• Strong commitment to quality and operational excellence, with a focus on achieving results and KPIs.

Key responsibilities:

Daily Operations

• Execute daily operations following SOP including Customer Service & Food and Drinks Preparation
• Ensure smooth workflow and coordination between stations
• Maintain fast and consistent Services

Food Quality & Consistency

• Ensure all food meets brand standards & SOP
• Maintain consistency in taste, portion, and presentation
• Conduct daily quality check
• Ensure Food is served within target timing

Quality of Service

• Ensure customer experience is up to company standards
• Maintain the quality of the Food and Beverage

Inventory Control

• Control wastage, stock usage, and portioning
• Monitor daily inventory & ordering
• Ensure outlet complies with Brands Hygiene Standard
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food handling
• Ensure personal grooming is up to company standards
• Perform any other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc assignments

You should have:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic cafe/restaurant, or food production environment, though passionate fresh candidates are highly encouraged to apply
• Understanding of Food Safety and Operation compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - operations, executives, and suppliers
• Ability to travel to different regional locations as required
