Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Expeditor for a 1-year contract in Kuala Lumpur, to accelerate vendor manufacturing and deliveries while aligning with PO dates and ROS requirements.

The role collaborates with Engineering, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure documentation, inspections, and schedules are met. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in SCM expediting within Oil & Gas, with experience in EPC/EPCIC/EPCM projects, and strong communication and coordination skills to drive timely

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of SCM expediting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in EPC, EPCIC, or EPCM projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of vendor expediting manufacturing processes, inspection activities, and material delivery schedules.
• Good knowledge of project schedules, PO contractual dates, ROS dates, and vendor progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Expedite vendor manufacturing and deliveries to meet PO dates and ROS requirements.
• Lead kick-off, pre-production, and pre-inspection meetings with vendors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering for timely review/approval of drawings and docs.
• Ensure QA/QC and ITPO procedures compliance during expediting.
• Arrange third‑party and internal inspections and field expediting activities.
• Review expediting reports, identify delays, and drive timely resolutions.
• Provide regular progress updates via Expediting Reports or equivalent.
• Coordinate shipment and logistics to ensure on-site arrival as scheduled.
• Resolve technical issues in coordination with Package Engineer and project teams.

Job Scope(s):

• Expedite vendor manufacturing and deliveries to ensure compliance with PO contractual delivery dates and ROS requirements.
• Plan and lead kick-off, pre-production, and pre-inspection meetings to align vendors and project stakeholders on scope, schedule, deliverables, and expectations.
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely review and approval of drawings, calculations, datasheets, and other technical documents in accordance with the vendor's project schedule.
• Work closely with QA/QC and Testing & Commissioning teams to ensure vendor compliance with approved procedures and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) requirements.
• Arrange and coordinate third-party and internal inspections, including witness and hold points, as well as field expediting activities where required.
• Review expediting and inspection reports, identify potential delays or issues, and drive timely follow-up and resolution.
• Monitor vendor progress and provide regular updates through Expediting Reports or other agreed reporting formats.
• Coordinate shipment and logistics activities to ensure materials and equipment arrive on site as scheduled.
• Support the resolution of technical issues in coordination with the Package Engineer and relevant project teams.
• Ensure timely submission and completion of Vendor Data Requirements (VDR) and follow up on outstanding documentation.
• Monitor and drive the closure of deficiencies, discrepancies, and carry-over punch list items.
• Liaise with vendors and Finance to identify and resolve payment-related issues that may affect vendor performance or delivery schedules.
• Identify potential delivery risks and drive timely follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor progress, expediting activities, inspections, and delivery status.

Requirement(s):

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any relevant discipline. Engineering qualification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant SCM Expediting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in EPC, EPCIC, or EPCM projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of vendor expediting manufacturing processes, inspection activities, and material delivery schedules.
• Basic understanding of engineering documentation and product manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of project schedules, PO contractual dates, ROS dates, and vendor progress monitoring.
• Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage priorities within tight project schedules.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures.
