Job summary

DKSH in Malaysia is seeking an Executive, Quality Assurance to support the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems. This role contributes to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and operational integrity across production and laboratory environments.

You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, and R&D to ensure GMP, FSMS and Halal compliance, while maintaining thorough records and supporting

• Degree in Science or related discipline.
• Experience in QA is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Halal documentation for regulatory and certification compliance.
• Conduct regular monitoring, inspections, and verification across production and premises, including PRP audits.
• Verify raw material and finished goods compliance through testing with external labs as needed.
• Monitor quality checks during production to ensure GMP and food safety requirements are met.
• Maintain calibration records for production and laboratory equipment.
• Lead and follow up on CAPA for deviations or nonconformities.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to verify supplier documentation and COA as needed.
• Assist during internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.

About The Role

The Executive, Quality Assurance supports the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems within DKSH's business, ensuring compliance with regulatory, certification, and customer standards. This role contributes to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and operational integrity across production and laboratory environments.

What You Will Deliver

• Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Halal documentation to ensure full regulatory and certification compliance
• Conduct regular monitoring, inspection, and verification activities across production and premise areas, including Pre-Requisite Programme (PRP) audits
• Conduct and monitor raw material and finished goods compliance through verification testing in collaboration with external laboratories
• Monitor and verify quality control checks during production to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety requirements
• Coordinate and maintain accurate records of calibration for production and laboratory equipment
• Initiate and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in cases of deviations or nonconformities related to products, processes, or food safety
• Maintain and liaise with the Purchasing Department for the requisition and verification of supplier documentation, including product specifications and Certificates of Analysis (COA)
• Assist during internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections, certification body audits, and customer audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Research and Development (R&D) to resolve quality-related issues effectively
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) is an added advantage
