DKSH Malaysia is seeking a Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Environment to lead the development and implementation of HSE practices, aligning with global policy and local standards.

This role builds a culture of safety, ensures regulatory compliance, manages facilities and budgets, and partners with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in SHE performance. Fluent English required; Bachelor of Science in a related field and QHSE training preferred.

The Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Environment manages and oversees the development and implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) practices for DKSH in Malaysia, ensuring alignment with global DKSH safety policies and local and international safety standards. This role is pivotal in building a culture of safety, operational compliance, and environmental responsibility across the organization.

What You Will Deliver

• Manage departmental operating budgets and costs in accordance with annual allocations to ensure efficient and responsible use of resources
• Develop and execute Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, programs, and objectives aligned with global DKSH safety policy and local and international safety standards
• Manage facilities utilization, operations, and maintenance across business premises in accordance with DKSH policies and procedures, regulations, and agreed service levels
• Identify and develop annual plans for facility management activities, ensuring full compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements and regulations
• Manage and review space planning, allocation, and utilization of existing and new business premises, allocating optimal resources to maximize efficiencies and productivity
• Develop and manage cost controls and process improvement activities related to facility management, benchmarked against current industry trends
• Oversee the facility team at headquarters and ensure all deliverables are consistently met on the ground
• Work closely with the country leadership team on all facility-related matters and provide expert guidance to senior leadership on SHE practices
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections; oversee incident investigations with root cause analysis and ensure appropriate corrective actions and timely documentation to eliminate potential safety and environmental risks
• Lead the alignment of waste management and disposal procedures with environmental laws and government regulations
• Lead initiatives to ensure workplace conditions affecting employee health and safety are corrected or mitigated through robust control procedures
• Lead regular and continuous employee education on relevant SHE policies, procedures, and activities to ensure consistent implementation across the organization
• Lead HSE training programs and build organizational competency in safety, health, and environmental practices
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies on matters related to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)
• Collaborate across functions as a strategic partner in the implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
• Represent DKSH in external forums on HSE matters and serve as the company's representative for all HSE-related engagements
• Manage and oversee team delivery against team and function goals, driving execution, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Drive learning and development of the team in SHE practices and DKSH behaviors to achieve team and function goals

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related discipline; certified training in industry Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) and regulatory standards is required
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
• Demonstrated knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Basic understanding of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
• Proven knowledge and hands‑on application of local regulations on Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)
• Proven expertise in transport safety and dangerous goods management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
