Responsibilities

• Assist in development, improvement, and innovation of food ingredient products.
• Evaluate and test new raw materials or ingredients for suitability and performance.
• Conduct laboratory trials, product testing, shelf-life studies and basic process evaluations.
• Stay updated on food trends, innovative ingredients, and emerging technologies.
• Support application trials and basic troubleshooting to ensure successful outcomes.
• Prepare, update, and maintain R&D documentation including specifications and trial reports.
• Support HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP documentation and related procedures.
• Assist with internal, external, and customer audits as required.
• Perform administrative and coordination tasks.

About The Role

The Executive, Research and Development supports the development, improvement, and innovation of food ingredient products within DKSH's business, contributing to new product development initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality documentation. This role plays a key part in driving product excellence through laboratory trials, application testing, and staying current with food trends and emerging ingredient technologies.

What You Will Deliver

• Assist in the development, improvement, and innovation of food ingredient products to support and strengthen the company's product portfolio
• Evaluate and test new raw materials or ingredients for suitability and performance to inform sound product development decisions
• Conduct laboratory trials, product testing, application trials, shelf-life studies, and basic process evaluations to ensure product quality and efficacy
• Stay updated on food trends, innovative ingredients, and emerging technologies to support and strengthen new product development initiatives
• Support application trials and basic troubleshooting under guidance to ensure successful and consistent product outcomes
• Prepare, update, and maintain Research and Development (R&D) documentation, including product specifications, formulations, and trial reports, to ensure accurate and accessible records
• Support food safety and quality documentation such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and related procedures
• Support internal audits, external audits, and customer audits as and when required
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
