Job summary

Jora Malaysia, a leading Japanese multinational chemical company specializing in high-performance polyurethane materials and custom formulations, is seeking an Executive - Technical (Chemist) in Port Klang. You will oversee quality control, maintain the Quality System in the Technical Department, and drive quality improvement projects to support a broad regional client base.

The role requires a Chemistry or Applied Science in polymers degree, good communication, ISO experience is a plus, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Applied Science in polymers.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Willing to travel occasionally within Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Quality control and assurance of the Company's products.
• Maintain the Quality System related to the Technical Department.
• Plan and implement Quality Improvement Projects.
• Determine, report, and recommend corrective actions for root causes of quality deficiencies and non-conformances.
• Design new formulations and systems.
• Provide technical advice on quality matters and support customers with product usage applications when required.
• Test customers' finished products as and when required.
• Coordinate with the Production Department regarding product requirements and troubleshooting.
• Develop suitable quality procedures to minimize rejects.
• Troubleshoot customer complaints.
• Maintain awareness of the Quality Policy, Objectives, Risks, and their respective controls.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the quality control and assurance of the Company's products.
2. Responsible for maintaining the Quality System related to the Technical Department.
3. Plans and implements Quality Improvement Projects.
4. Determines, reports, and recommends corrective actions for the root causes of quality deficiencies and non conformances.
5. Designs new formulations and systems.

Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Chemistry / Applied Science in polymers or equivalent.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Previous experience in QC and ISO systems is an advantage, however fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Will be required to travel occasionally within Malaysia.
