Job summary

QL Ansan Poultry Farm in Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to organize and implement OSH programs at the workplace and lead the OSH committee.

The role requires conducting internal HSE audits, maintaining ESH documentation, coordinating audits with government bodies, ensuring corrective actions, and preparing monthly safety reports. A minimum of 2 years in OSH is required; certifications like HSE personnel or NIOSH are advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Organize and implement OSH programs at the workplace

To lead the safety & health committee (HSC)

Conduct internal HSE audit to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions

Execute duties under OSHE 1997 and regulation

Establish and maintain environment, Safety & Health documentation

Liaise with regulatory officer in Customer Audit, JKKP Audit, DOE audit and any government bodies related to environment, safety and health.

Ensure corrective action is to prevent re-occurrence of accidents / incidents

Control activities of contractors / sub-contractors / vendors / visitors at workplace on the safety & health procedure and ensuring all employees are in compliance with safety policies.

Collect, analyze and maintain records of any amendments or new law / regulations in relation to ESH and advise management of any action or measure to taken as well as communicating the information to all employees

To prepare monthly safety and health report for management review

Assist and coordinate for the hostel arrangement for foreign workers

To perform any other ESH related matters as assigned

A minimum of 2 years of experiences in Occupational Safety & Health

Certification such as Certified HSE personnel, NISOH certificate, or Green Book advantageous

Possessed knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices such as OSHA
