Job summary

Megah Transport in Malaysia is seeking an HSE professional to oversee safety, health and environmental programs across sites. You will advise on safety issues, liaise with authorities for compliance, and manage HSE activities and documentation.

The candidate should have at least 3 years in HSE, DOSH SHO registration, and a degree or certificate in OSH. Travel to branches may be required and you will support policy development and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in the HSE field.
• Familiar with regulatory workplace safety and health requirements.
• Possess DOSH Registered SHO status.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in OSH or equivalent.
• Willing to travel to other branches/locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Advise on quality, safety and environmental issues.

• Manage overall Safety and Health activities.
• Coordinate data entry and safekeeping of HSE documents.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes.
• Conduct driver’s safety training.

• Inspect premises to identify non-conformities; stop unsafe acts or processes.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Management.

Ensure safety measures and procedures adopted in accordance with Company requirement and Malaysian legislation;

To advise regarding quality, safety and environmental issues;

Interact and liaise with authorities and to ensure compliance with statutory and other requirements;

Manage the overall Safety and Health activities;

Coordinate data entry, collection, collation and safekeeping all HSE and Security documents to meet requirements of Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Data Administrations;

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy;

To record and conduct investigation including preparing full report on all occurrences in any incident or accident which related to HSE and Security to determine the root cause and provide statistical information to Company;

To conduct driver’s safety training;

Support the development of OHS policies and programs;

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures;

To initiate and conduct any HSE and Security training programs, activities or promotions at workplace;

Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g., not using proper protective equipment).

Any others task assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

At least 3 years’ experience in HSE field;

Possess minimum 3 years as DOSH Registered SHO;

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or equivalent;

Familiar with regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health and all other aspects of safety.
