Job summary

LTP Engineering is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to advise on OSHA compliance and support the Safety & Health Committee in implementing OSH programs. The role focuses on maintaining a safe workplace by conducting inspections, investigations, and trainings.

Requirements include a Safety & Health Diploma/Degree, a NIOSH SH Officer Certificate, and a Green Book with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma/Degree in Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in a related function.
• Must possess a Safety & Health Officer Certificate from NIOSH.
• Registered Green Book Holder certified by DOSH.
• CePSWaM or equivalent Competent Person certification.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Secretary to the Safety & Health Committee and perform duties under DOSH regulations.
• Assist in workplace inspections and safety audits.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and prepare incident reports with corrective actions.
• Develop, implement and monitor SHE programs to ensure DOE and DOSH compliance.
• Manage records and documentation for safety, health, and environmental requirements.

This role involves advising the company and persons in charge on measures required to ensure the safety and health of all employees at the workplace, and assisting Management and the Safety & Health Committee in organizing, implementing, and maintaining Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) programs in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and all related regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Secretary to the Safety & Health Committee and perform all duties required under DOSH regulations
• Assist the Safety & Health Committee in conducting workplace inspections and safety audits
• Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, and occupational diseases, and prepare detailed incident reports with corrective and preventive measures
• Develop, implement, and monitor Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) programs to maintain a safe, healthy, and hazard-free working environment that complies with DOSH and the Department of Environment (DOE)
• Manage and maintain all records and documentation related to safety, health, and environmental requirements
• Handle documentation and inventory for the Scheduled Waste Management System in accordance with DOE compliance standards
• Conduct ESG, safety, health, and environmental training sessions as and when required
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time related to workplace safety, health, environment, and compliance

About you
