Richmond Asia Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from budgeting through procurement, ensuring delivery within budget and spec. The role involves developing cost plans, advising on design costs, and participating in tender and contract administration for multi-disciplinary development projects.
Ideal candidates hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and have 5+ years in a developer/contractor/consultant setting, preferably with high-rise
Responsible for project cost management, quantity surveying, main/sub-contract procurement and assistance in material purchasing throughout property development complete cycle. Working together with all levels of internal/external stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered within budget and project requirements.
Key responsibilities
Prepare preliminary cost estimates and development budgets
Awareness of authority's guideline against cost planning/implications
Advise on cost implications of design decisions
Develop cost plan based on drawings, specifications and construction methodology
Assist in value engineering process
Involvement in executing tender, award and implementation process under PAM/Building form contracts and commercial conditions
Involvement in progress claim/VO and related administration matters
Monitor committed cost vs project budget
About you
Degree in Quantity Surveyor, Construction Management or equivalent
Quantity Surveying role of Developer/Contractor/Consultant firm with at least 5 years experience
Preferably with Property Developer with in-house construction involving high rise hospitality/residential/commercial mixed development
Resourceful, good costing, strong in negotiation and risk management skill
Experience in handling Material Procurement locally & abroad would be an advantage for this position
