Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Executive for Project Planning & Development to oversee planning, coordination and delivery of property development projects. You will work with design, engineering, construction and external partners to ensure projects stay on time and meet requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years in project planning or management within development or construction, with strong knowledge of planning tools and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in project planning, development or management in property development or construction.
• Knowledge of project planning methodologies, tools and software.
• Understanding of Malaysian building regulations and development approvals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets for assigned development projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams including design, architecture, engineering and construction to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor project progress and performance against milestones and KPIs.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and propose effective solutions.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Prepare and present progress reports and project documentation to senior management.
• Support feasibility studies and site analysis for new development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, planning requirements and company standards throughout project lifecycle.
• Collaborate on value engineering initiatives to optimise project costs and quality.
