Job summary

Malaysia Airports Berhad is seeking an Executive - Project Governance (Project Planning) to manage project scheduling, monitor execution, and uphold governance standards across sites.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, consultants, and contractors, performing delay analyses, and preparing reports for the PMO. A bachelor's in relevant field and registered engineer status are preferred; Malaysian citizens only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Project Management, or Construction Management from a recognised institution.
• Registered as a Graduate Engineer with BEM or any professional body.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to physically inspect ongoing site activities.
• Audit actual progress against reported progress.
• Assist Project Planning Manager and Project Managers in performing delay and root-cause analysis and recommend corrective recovery plans.
• Assist in conducting performance reviews to enforce schedule compliance and issue non-conformance or delay warnings when milestones slip.
• Assist in assessing the real schedule impact of delays and evaluate proposed recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project PICs, PMs, Budget Owners, Project Owners, Consultants, Contractors and internal stakeholders on activities, deliveries and status.
• Prepare biweekly/monthly PMO reports for management.
• Support PMO initiatives related to governance, standardisation, reporting, and performance improvement.
• Prepare Minutes as required.
• Ensure smooth operations and administration.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages the project scheduling, execution monitoring, and governance frameworks to ensure project milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Conduct regular site inspections/ assessment to physically inspect ongoing site activities.
• Conduct audit on actual progress againts reported progress.
• Assist Project Planning Manager and Project Managers in performing delay and root-cause analysis whenever a Consultant / Contractor misses or risks missing a timeline, and recommend corrective recovery plans.
• Assist Project Planning Manager and Project Managers in conducting performacne reviews to enforce schedule compliance, and issue formal non-conformance or delay warnings when milestones slip.
• Assist Project Planning Manager and Project Managers in assesing the real schedule impact of project delays, study technical field issues, and evaluate proposed recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project PICs, Project Managers, Budget Owners, Project Owners, Consultants, Contractors and relevant Internal Stakeholders on project activities, deliveries and status.
• Prepare biweekly / monthly report for PMO and management.
• Supporting all Project PICs and Project Managers in site coordination and interfacing works with other projects at site location.
• Support PMO initiatives related to governance, standaisation, reporting, and performance improvement.
• Prepare Minutes as and when required.
• Ensure smooth operations and adminstration.

Skills

• Strong administration skills - organised, thorough, systems orientatedwith meticulous attention to detail
• Good ability to use Microsoft Project and Power BI.
• Good understanding of construction methodology, project scheduling, and project control.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Project Management, or Construction Management from a recognised institution.

Relevant Industries

• Preferably in Project Management or Consultancy or Construction & Infrastructure background.
