Job summary

MSIG Malaysia is seeking a capable professional to assist the Head in managing, developing, and underwriting Healthcare, Personal Accident, Travel, and Personal Lines Package products. You will contribute to product development and profitability through monitoring guidelines and market insights.

The role involves supporting underwriting action plans, conducting market research, providing technical underwriting training, and preparing management and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Insurance or a related field.
• At least five years of working experience, preferably in the insurance or service industry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and growing Healthcare, PA, Travel, and Personal Lines products.
• Review underwriting guidelines and monitor action plans for profitability.
• Conduct market research and develop new insurance products and schemes.
• Provide underwriting technical support, guidance, and training to units.
• Extract and analyze data for management reports and regulatory submissions.

Job description

To assist the Head in managing, developing, and underwriting Healthcare, Personal Accident, Travel, and Personal Lines Package products.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, enhancement, and growth of Healthcare, Personal Accident (PA), Travel, Personal Package, and other Personal Lines products in line with the Company's business plans.


• Assist in reviewing underwriting guidelines and procedures and support the implementation and monitoring of underwriting action plans to improve the profitability of Healthcare, PA, Travel, Personal Package, and other Personal Lines products.


• Assist in conducting market research and the development of new insurance products, initiatives, and schemes to support business growth.


• Assist in providing underwriting technical support, guidance, and training to business units, and assist in resolving underwriting-related queries.


• Assist in extracting and analyzing statistical data for the preparation of management reports and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Insurance or a related field.


• At least five years of working experience, preferably in the insurance or service industry.


• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.


• Ability to gather and analyse data, interpret trends, and prepare reports.
