Executive (Operations & Business Development)

Executive (Operations & Business Development) Visionary Insurance Company Limited | Kuala Lumpur Fresh Graduates Encouraged to Apply

The Programme – Initial 3-Month Structured Training: You will receive end-to-end training in:

Technical Foundations: Strong grounding in the principles and practices of general insurance and reinsurance

Operational Cycle: Underwriting support, basic claims handling, and reinsurance administration

Financial & Compliance: Credit control and a basic understanding of LFSA and related regulatory and compliance matters

Product Knowledge: Main classes of business, policy structures, coverage terms, and scheme-based products

Duties & Responsibilities Once the foundation is established, you will progress to a more business-facing role:

Operations Support:

Manage internal operational processes to ensure a seamless workflow

Provide support for underwriting and claims administration

Monitor credit control and ensure compliance with LFSA standards

Business Development & Prospecting:

Market Exposure: Liaise with our existing network of brokers, reinsurers, retrocessionaires and producers to maintain and develop professional relationships

Direct Engagement: Arrange and participate in introductory meetings with LFSA-licensed brokers and general (re)insurers

Growth Support: Assist in marketing initiatives and identify new business opportunities

Scheme Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of insurance schemes

Requirements

Education: Fresh graduate or junior professional (1-2 years of experience) with a degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Law, or a related discipline

Reinsurance Exposure: Candidates with one year of experience in a reinsurance environment are preferred, but it is not mandatory

Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication in English. Proficiency in Chinese speaking and/or Cantonese is essential for regional market engagement

Learning Agility: Growth mindset with the ability to digest technical insurance concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios

Interpersonal Skills: Natural ability to network and build rapport with brokers and industry partners

Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)

AI & Digital Proficiency: Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT,Microsoft Copilot, Workbuddy) for market research, data analysis, report automation, and enhancing business development efficiency
