Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad seeks an Executive, Non-Motor Claims to deliver efficient, fair, customer-focused claims service and ensure timely resolution and regulatory compliance.

The role covers handling, assessing, documenting, and settling claims with internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining accurate records and striving for low outstanding claims. Fresh graduates with internship are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of claims handling experience, preferably in General Insurance with exposure to non-motor claims.
• Fresh graduates with internship or practical experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle, assess, process, recommend, and approve claims within authority limits.
• Maintain high standards of customer service by handling claims promptly and professionally.
• Review and verify claims documentation, assess liability and quantum, and advise settlements.
• Check and validate new claims registrations, adjustments, reserves, and data entries.
• Appoint and manage adjusters, solicitors, investigators, and other service providers.
• Maintain complete claim records and filing systems with proper documentation.
• Conduct annual reviews of outstanding claims to ensure reserve adequacy and timely resolution.
• Maintain a low outstanding claims ratio through proactive management and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Monitor and report deficiencies in policy coverage and system-related issues to applicable departments.
• Manage reinsurance-related claims, notify reinsurers, and monitor recoveries against treaties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
