Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia seeks an Executive - Local HR (Security Operations) to oversee and optimise the company’s security framework. The role includes coordinating security operations, enforcing procedures and training security personnel across sites.

The candidate will lead recruitment, conduct background checks, and liaise with external security providers, while identifying improvements to protect personnel, assets and information. This is a hands-on security leadership position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Capable of proposing, implementing, and enforcing security procedures.
• Involved in recruitment, selection, training, development, motivation, and discipline of security guards.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to overall security operations.
• Coordinate and liaise with Security Companies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage security operations and safety activities to comply with regulatory and company standards.
• Implement and enforce effective security measures and procedures.
• Identify gaps in security operations and recommend improvements.
• Mitigate risks and threats to personnel, assets, and information.
• Review and escalate work orders to the Facility Department for maintenance or repair.
• Respond to onsite security issues, monitor resolution, and review misconduct reports for escalation.
• Supervise recruitment, selection, and governance of security personnel, including background checks.
• Develop and conduct training and induction programs for all security personnel.
• Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with laws and social regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation of forms, reports, checklists, and other security records.
