Job summary

Ricebowl is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Executive to provide legal and administrative support to the organization. The Legal Executive will handle legal documentation, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, review contracts, and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, contract and employment laws, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) required.
  • 2–5 years of relevant legal experience preferred; strong academic qualifications for juniors considered.
  • Good knowledge of corporate, commercial, contract, and employment laws.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, vet, and negotiate contracts, agreements, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments on legal and compliance matters.
  • Ensure company operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Monitor and update legal and regulatory developments that may impact the business.
  • Manage and maintain legal records, contracts, licenses, permits, and corporate documents.
  • Liaise with external lawyers, government authorities, regulatory bodies, and business partners.
  • Assist in handling legal disputes, claims, litigation matters, and debt recovery cases.
  • Prepare legal reports, correspondence, and management updates.
  • Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions and statutory compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on legal issues.
  • Assist in risk assessment and implementation of risk mitigation measures.

Job Summary

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant legal experience (fresh graduates with strong academic qualifications may be considered for junior positions).
  • Good knowledge of corporate, commercial, contract, and employment laws.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments within deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in corporate legal affairs, contract management, or compliance functions.
  • Familiarity with company secretarial matters and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
