As an Executive, General Affairs - Legal, you will be responsible for supporting the Company's legal and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, franchise compliance obligations, corporate governance practices, and business licensing requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, government authorities, and franchisees.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing legal and compliance matters across the organization.
- Provide initial legal and compliance support to management and employees.
- Liaise with external legal firms on legal matters, litigation, contract reviews, and compliance issues.
- Review, draft, coordinate, and maintain legal documents, contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor contract expiry dates and coordinate timely renewals.
- Maintain and administer the Company's contract management database.
- Ensure proper filing, safekeeping, and confidentiality of legal and corporate documents.
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary on corporate governance matters.
- Assist in preparing board resolutions, corporate documentation, and statutory submissions.
- Manage applications, renewals, and maintenance of business permits, licenses, and registrations.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies / Corporate Administration / Governance & Compliance or other related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 1 year of working experience in legal administration, compliance, corporate secretarial, governance, or related functions will have an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of Malaysian legal and regulatory framework.
- Exposure to contract administration and legal documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
