Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Executive, IT Support - Infrastructure on a contract basis to ensure the reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of the company’s IT infrastructure, including network, servers, cybersecurity, helpdesk operations, and end-user support.

The role covers network management, server and infrastructure management, cybersecurity/risk management, helpdesk operations, and asset management with a focus on process documentation and service delivery for internal staff.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, configuring, and monitoring LAN/WAN networks and VPNs.
• Ability to maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Experience managing physical and cloud servers, patching, backup and disaster recovery readiness.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, incident response, and access control.
• Experience operating the IT helpdesk, handling Level 1–2 support, and reporting.
• Experience in IT asset management and onboarding/offboarding devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewalls).
• Manage physical and cloud servers including deployment, patching, and monitoring; ensure high availability and DR readiness.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and monitoring; respond to incidents and vulnerabilities; manage access control.
• Operate the IT helpdesk system and manage support tickets; provide Level 1–2 support to staff.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals; manage device onboarding/offboarding and asset lifecycle.

Executive, IT Support - Infrastructure (Contract)

The Infra Support and Security Management role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of the company’s IT infrastructure, covering network, servers, cybersecurity, helpdesk operations, and enduser technical support.

1. Network Management

• Design, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewalls).
• Ensure stable connectivity, performance, and secure access.
• Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.
• Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors.

2. Server & Infrastructure Management

• Manage physical and cloud servers including deployment, patching, and monitoring.
• Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor server health, storage, and performance.
• Support hosting environments for internal systems and databases.
• Plan infrastructure scaling and capacity needs.

3. Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Implement cybersecurity controls and monitoring tools.
• Respond to cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security health checks.
• Manage access control and user privileges.
• Support compliance, audits, and security awareness initiatives.

4. Helpdesk & IT Service Operations

• Operate the IT helpdesk system and manage support tickets.
• Provide Level 1–2 support to staff.
• Track recurring issues and recommend preventive improvements.
• Maintain SOPs, FAQs, and knowledge base.
• Prepare monthly support and performance reports.

5. Technical Support & Asset Management

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Manage device setup, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle records.
