Job summary

Jaya Grocer is seeking an IT Project Executive to support the delivery, enhancement and maintenance of IT systems supporting store operations, POS, inventory, merchandising, procurement, warehousing, finance, payments and e-commerce.

You will work with the Assistant Manager, IT Projects, on day-to-day coordination, testing, deployment and documentation, with responsibilities spanning requirements gathering, testing, risk tracking and post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience coordinating IT projects or system implementations.
• Exposure to retail IT or business systems is preferred.
• Strong requirements gathering, testing, deployment and documentation skills.
• Willing to travel to Jaya Grocer outlets as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Manager in delivering IT projects for retail business operations systems.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities, timelines, actions and deliverables.
• Gather and document business requirements with users, internal teams and vendors.
• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Track project risks, issues and delays, and elevate them promptly to the Assistant Manager.
• Maintain accurate project, system and process documentation.
• Provide clear project updates and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Research suitable retail IT solutions and industry practices.
• Support system enhancements, user briefings and training activities.
• Provide on-site support at Jaya Grocer branches when required.
• Assist with troubleshooting during implementation and stabilization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Get to know the role

As a IT Project Executive, you will work closely with the Assistant Manager, IT Projects, to support the delivery, enhancement and maintenance of IT systems related to retail business operations. These systems may support areas such as store operations, point-of-sale, inventory, merchandising, procurement, warehousing, finance, payments and e-commerce. The Assistant Manager will oversee overall project direction, scope, priorities and key decisions. You will focus on day-to-day project coordination, execution, testing, deployment support and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Manager in delivering IT projects for retail business operations systems.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities, timelines, actions and deliverables.
• Gather and document business requirements with users, internal teams and vendors.
• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Track project risks, issues and delays, and elevate them promptly to the Assistant Manager.

You should have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant working experience, preferably in retail IT, business systems or IT project implementation.
• Experience coordinating system implementations, enhancements or related IT projects.
• Exposure to retail business operations systems is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of requirements gathering, system testing, deployment and project documentation.
• Strong coordination, analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, resourceful and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
• Willing to travel to Jaya Grocer outlets when required.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
