Job summary

7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Berhad, through its subsidiary 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd, is looking for an experienced Industrial Relations professional to manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary cases and misconduct, and to provide guidance on proper handling and policy compliance.

You will advise Management, build strong relationships with government agencies and external stakeholders, and review HR policies to keep them current and aligned with law.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in industrial relations or HR.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide support on industrial and employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary cases, misconduct, and domestic inquiries.
• Advise Management on appropriate handling and resolution of IR matters, ensuring consistency with laws and policies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry bodies, legal practitioners and external stakeholders.
• Review and recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures and guidelines.

Job description

Manage and provide support on industrial and employee relations matters, including employee grievances, disciplinary cases, misconduct, domestic inquiries and other IR-related issues.

Advise and support Management on the appropriate handling and resolution of employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.

Establish and maintain good working relationships with relevant government agencies, industry bodies, legal practitioners and other external stakeholders on IR-related matters.

Review and recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure they remain relevant, consistent and aligned with current employment practices and legislation.

Identify and implement employee relations initiatives and engagement program that support a positive, productive and harmonious workplace.

Analyze employee-related statistics and trends to identify areas for improvement and support better workforce productivity and employee relations.

Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping and filing of industrial relations cases, employee matters and related HR documentation.

Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and industrial relations practices and advise Management on potential implications where relevant.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years hands-on responsibility and experience
• Well versed in all employment laws
• Credible, pragmatic and analytical thinking
• Proficiency in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Competent in use of MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
