7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a BI Developer/Data Analyst to design, develop, and maintain ETL processes, integrating data from multiple systems and ensuring data quality across SAP BW and QlikSense platforms.

You will build interactive dashboards using Power BI and QlikSense, analyze performance metrics, and translate business requirements for non-technical stakeholders while maintaining a robust data dictionary and metadata repository.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
• Experience with data lake/warehouse concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of metadata management tools and practices.
• Expertise in maintaining and evolving a data dictionary, including naming conventions and usage guidelines.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or DAX is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and solutions (e.g., AWS, GC).

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple systems, and developing interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as QlikSense and Power BI. You will work with SAP BW and QlikSense platforms, analyze business performance metrics, and collaborate with non-technical business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Job Descriptions:

Data Integration and Management:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple systems.

Manage and maintain a robust SAP BW and QlikSense data dictionary and metadata documentation.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.

BI Reporting and Analytics:

Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., QlikSense, Power BI).

Analyze business performance metrics, sales trends, and customer behavior.

Use metadata to enhance report reliability and automate data lineage tracking.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

Work closely with non-technical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions while maintaining a well-documented data dictionary and metadata repository.

Optimization and Maintenance:

Perform technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem solving, including daily tasks and jobs monitoring.

Support incident management and change request for SAP BW and QlikSense systems.

Optimize query performance and data models for scalability.

Data Security and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards.

Implement secure data management practices and maintain metadata to facilitate audits and compliance checks.

Other Tasks:

To perform any other work as and when required.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

2-5 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikSense).

Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.

Experience with data lake/warehouse concepts and tools.

Knowledge of metadata management tools and practices.

Expertise in maintaining and evolving a data dictionary, including naming conventions and usage guidelines.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or DAX is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and solutions (e.g., AWS, GC).

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with multiple priorities.

Additional Preferences:

Experience in retail or supply chain analytics.

Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and customer loyalty programs.
