Job summary

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Leader to manage the hotel’s housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and guest satisfaction on site in Desaru, Malaysia.

The role involves coordinating with the executive team to meet guest requirements, planning manpower and budgets, and supporting openings of new Minor Hotels and other events, reflecting our luxury hospitality standards and regional expansion.

Responsibilities

• Plan manpower requirements to achieve efficient labour usage, considering business needs and seasonal trends.
• Prepare yearly budgets for housekeeping & laundry.
• Remain fully accountable for revenue objectives.
• Make recommendations regarding upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment to keep Care programmes.
• Work with executive team colleagues across the hotel to ensure all guest requirements are met.
• Oversee and manage the housekeeping and laundry function; set and review standards; ensure effective training for staff.
• Ensure all public, guest-facing and back-of-house areas are cleaned at all times.
• Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure SOPs/LSOPs are current and accessible to Team Members; revise as needed.
• Support staff for Task Force Missions related to opening new Minor Hotels and other events.
