Job summary

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead the hotel's housekeeping and laundry operations. The role focuses on planning manpower, budgets, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across public, guest-facing and back-of-house areas.

You will collaborate with the executive team to meet guest requirements, set SOPs, train staff, and ensure health and safety compliance while supporting opening operations and special events.

Responsibilities

• Plan manpower requirements to achieve efficient labour usage, considering business needs and seasonal trends.
• Prepare yearly budgets for housekeeping & laundry.
• Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping and laundry function of the hotel.
• Ensure that all public, guest-facing and back of house areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to.
• Train staff and ensure SOPs/LSOPs are current and followed.
• Support openings of new Minor Hotels and other events catered by Minor International.

Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:*Planning and Organising** Plan manpower requirements to achieve an efficient usage of labour, considering business needs and seasonal trends.* Prepare yearly budgets for housekeeping & laundry.* Remain fully accountable for revenue objectives.* Makes recommendations to the Area General Manager or designate regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good repair as part of the Care programmes.* Work with executive team colleagues across the hotel to ensure all guest requirements are met.*Operations** Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping and laundry function of the hotel. Sets and reviews standards and ensures that they, through effective training, they are communicated to all Housekeeping staff.* Ensure that all public, guest-facing and back of house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times.* Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to.* Ensure that departmental SOP’s/LSOP’s are current and in effect and available for all Team Members to use as reference, revise and update when necessary.* Fully support and release staff for Task Force Missions required to support the opening of new Minor Hotels and other MINT properties, and other special events catered by Minor International.
