Job summary

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, part of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to lead the housekeeping and laundry function at our resort. The role focuses on planning manpower, budgeting, maintaining high standards, and supporting openings of new Minor Hotels properties.

You will collaborate with hotel leadership to meet guest requirements, ensure health and safety compliance, and uphold SOPs/LSOPs across public, guest-facing and back-of-house

Responsibilities

• Plan manpower requirements to achieve an efficient usage of labour, considering business needs and seasonal trends.
• Prepare yearly budgets for housekeeping & laundry.
• Remain fully accountable for revenue objectives.
• Make recommendations to the Area General Manager or designate regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good repair as part of the Care programmes.
• Work with executive team colleagues across the hotel to ensure all guest requirements are met.
• Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping and laundry function of the hotel.
• Sets and reviews standards and ensures that they, through effective training, they are communicated to all Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure that all public, guest-facing and back of house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times.
• Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure that departmental SOP’s/LSOP’s are current and in effect and available for all Team Members to use as reference, revise and update when necessary.
• Fully support and release staff for Task Force Missions required to support the opening of new Minor Hotels and other MINT properties, and other special events catered by Minor International.
