Job summary

Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering, Pasir Gudang, Johor, invites a seasoned ICT professional to support planning, implementation, enhancement and operations of Group ERP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors and Coupa. The role ensures alignment with business requirements and governance across MMHE & Group.

You will drive requirement studies, lead ICT initiatives through full project lifecycles, and coordinate testing, design specs, and vendor engagement to deliver reliable ERP

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or Information Systems or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in Information Technology environment.
• Strong knowledge in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic programming knowledge (any language) and basic TSQL command is a must.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform business requirement study based on the users' request and corporate business strategy to identify feasible IT applications to be implemented to support the business and project requirements.
• Lead and execute the implementation of approved ICT initiative/project including pre-planning activities, detail project scoping, project management, risk management, and reporting.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of tender proposals to align with policies and procedures.
• Perform and coordinate the development of the application system from gap analysis, functional and technical specification, and detailed design, including testing as per users' specification.
• Prepare System Requirement and Design Specification documents for user sign-off.
• Provide support to resolve IT issues/problems related to applications implemented as reported to IT Helpdesk within SLA.
• Analyze and perform IT change requests for system enhancements and provide solutions for smooth operations.
• Implement IT system maintenance such as fixes and upgrades to minimise downtime.
• Assist in reviewing and evaluating IT policies and procedures for implementing Group IT initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements in related work activities.
• Develop development plans to improve motivation and leadership skills in line with corporate agenda.
• System development life cycle processes: planning, coding, testing and deployment of IT applications.
• Project management in planning, execution and support of project application system.
• Problem solving and timely issue resolution.
• Programming methodologies: .Net, ASP, MS Sharepoint, ABAP.

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Work Employment: Fixed-Term Contract (12months)

JOB PURPOSE

To support the planning, implementation, enhancement, and operational support of Group Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, and Coupa, ensuring alignment with business requirements, system governance, and organizational objectives across MMHE & Group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform business requirement study based on the users' request and corporate business strategy to identify feasible IT applications to be implemented to support the business and project requirements.
• Lead and execute the implementation of approved ICT initiative/project which include pre-planning activities, detail project scoping, project management (resource deployment, budget monitoring, issue & change order resolution, risk management, project charter and project tracking & reporting), project development lifecycle phases (analysis, design, construction, implementation, post implementation review and project closure report) and setting up of Project Management Office to support Group business objectives and initiatives.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of overall tender proposals (technical/commercial evaluation) to be in line with Corporation's tender and contract policies and procedures.
• Perform and coordinate the development of the application system from gap analysis, functional and technical specification, and detailed design, including unit and systems integration testing as per users' specification.
• Prepare System Requirement and Design Specification document for user's sign off.
• Provide support to resolve IT issues/problems related to application implemented as reported to IT Helpdesk within the service level agreement to minimise business disruption.
• Analyze and perform IT change request for system enhancements and provide alternative solutions to resolve users' concern for smooth system operations.
• Perform the implementation of IT systems maintenance such as application fixes and upgrades to improve system functionality, availability and reliability in order to minimise system downtime as well as business disruption.
• Assist in the review and evaluation of existing IT policies and procedures enhancements to ensure efficient & effective implementation of Group IT initiatives and projects.
• Ensure adherence and fully complied to HSE requirements in related work activities among respective discipline personnel through regular briefings/site walkabouts/ departmental meetings with the objective of inculcating HSE awareness as part of the work culture.
• Self-discovery and develop development plans to improve motivation, competency, and leadership skills in line with triple plus in the Corporate Agenda.
• System development life cycle-process consists of planning, coding, testing and deployment of an IT application.
• Project management in planning, execution and supporting project application system.
• Problem Solving Analysis-Understanding and solving issues accurately and in timely manners.
• Programming methodology and technique (.Net, ASP, MS Sharepoint, ABAP)- programming language, coding framework, application program interface.
• Vendor Management- effective collaboration with external service provider.
