Job summary

Jaya Grocer is seeking a General Ledger Closing Account Assistant in Malaysia to support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy of financial records. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain documentation in line with accounting standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience. You will liaise with internal departments for closing information and assist with audit schedules under the

• Minimum 2 - 3 years working experience in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation (accruals, prepayments, reclassifications)
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor GL transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the accounting system.
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain required information for closing.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance.
• Assist in audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
• Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Finance Manager
