Job summary

ELK-Desa Resources Berhad seeks an Executive, Financial Reporting to ensure accurate financial data, support month-end close, and prepare timely reports. You will coordinate with internal teams and our outsourced accounting partner to resolve discrepancies and maintain records meticulously.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, reconciliation, or payment processing.
• ACCA, CPA, MICPA or LCCI students welcome for part-time opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Meticulous, organized and able to work independently with accountability.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Good communication with different stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP systems experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily accounting transactions are complete, accurate and compliant with standards and policies.
• Perform daily financial data integration and verification; investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile bank records, operational systems and accounting records; follow up on items.
• Review invoices and payment vouchers for accuracy and GL coding.
• Prepare journal entries, bank charges and other adjustments.
• Assist in monthly financial and management reporting using Excel.
• Maintain filing of accounting and financial records.
• Provide support for audit, tax and other finance requirements.
• Assist in financial analysis and ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
