Job summary

Credit Bureau Malaysia is seeking a diligent accounting professional to oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting. The role covers AR, AP, intercompany, month-end close, and fixed asset accounting.

You will independently manage month-end close, prepare the reporting pack, and perform P&L review with commentary on significant changes and unusual balances. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or professional qualification in accounting.
• At least 2 years of accounting/finance administration experience in SME.
• Proficient in Excel and analytical/presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiar with AP, GL, and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting (AR/AP/Interco, month-end close, fixed assets).

Job description

In charge of the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting function (including AR / AP / Interco, Month-end close, fixed asset accounting).

Handle month-end close activities independently from journal posting to preparing reporting pack.

Perform P&L review and analysis. Provide commentary for accounts that have significant changes and investigate account with unusual balances.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.

At least 2 years of working experience in accounting, or finance administration from SME company.

A problem solver, who can work in an unstructured and complex environment.

Team player, possess positive working attitude, pro-active and independent contributor.

Proficient in Excel and other analytical/presentation skills.

Possess strong analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.

Familiar with Account Payable ie PO & supplier invoice processing, and payment coordination is added advantage.

Good understanding of finance functions, ie. Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and basic accounting principles.
