Sime Darby Auto Bavaria Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a competent accountant to manage general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance for the company in Malaysia.
The role requires preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, coordinating intercompany activities, and supporting system improvements including SAP FI/CO; consolidation for Motors Division and group accounts will be part of the duties.

Responsible for general accounting and financialreportingand taxationofthe company.
Responsible for all financialreportsandrelated schedules, ensuring all are prepared in accordance with the prevailing accounting standards, group policies and authorities, legal and tax compliances.
To produce the high-qualityreportand meet periodic, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financialreportingdeadlines.
To highlight and follow up outstanding issuesrelated to balance sheet items with other sections and coordinate withrespective person to ensure issueresolved on timely basis or adjusted accordingly.
To assist in continuously improvement on General accounting systems and process flow.
To ensure SAP FI/CO - General Ledger modules comply with standardrequirement.
Ensure financialreportsand accountingrecordsare prepared and maintained in accordance with FinancialReportStandardsofMalaysia, other local statutoryrequirementsand Sime Darby Group Policies and Procedures.
Involve in the preparationofMonthly FinancialReports(MFR) for HeadOffice accounts and subsidiary companies.
Preparationofconsolidated MFR and quarterlyreportsfor Motors Division usingBPC. Tasks include clearingofall plug accounts in the system, intercompany differences and any abnormalities.
Involve in the preparationofMonthly OperationsReport(MOR) slides.
Involve in the preparationofthe Group Financial Accounts (GFA) for headoffice companies and also consolidation for year end.
Preparationofthe consolidated Management Plan for Motors Division.Reviewthe Management Plan submitted by operating units.
Involve in the preparationoftax computation for headoffice companies and subsidiaries. Ensure the completeness and accuracyofall analysisrelatedto tax computation.
Involve in the preparationofconsolidated and individual entitystatutoryaccounts.for individual entity and also for Motors HeadOffice accounts.
Involve in the preparationofpresentation slides for Supervisory Committee meeting, Audit Committee meeting and other ad hoc analysis asrequestedby the management.
Prepare ad hoc analysis asrequestedby the management.
Prepare the departmental overhead analysis.
Prepare the bank and creditorsreconciliationsand ensure all transaction are taken up accurately and follow up on any issue.
Degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy/ ACCA /CIMA or its equivalent.
Have comprehensive understandingoffinancial services functions and high levelofgeneral accounting knowledge and experience.
Computer literate (preferably in SAP system).
Good communication and interpersonal skills
