Jora Malaysia is seeking an Executive/Engineer - Treatment (Melaka) to lead operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. You will plan maintenance, procure services, and ensure regulatory compliance while monitoring process performance and safety.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1–3 years of related experience and strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication skills. This role is based in Melaka and requires hands-on supervision and reporting.

Implement, coordinate, and monitor the O&M of STP to ensure the target performance standards and levels of service are achieved.
Plan/schedule for STP visitations (Plant Maintenance Frequency) to OPI requirement.
Formulate OPI task for each STP to meet OPI requirements.
Prepare and procure all services and materials required for the efficient O&M of STP.
Inspect and verify all procured services and delivered materials so as to be in compliance with required specifications and standards, and for timely processing of claims for payment.
Review all feedback sheets and to take required actions to ensure efficient operations of STP.
Monitor treatment plant process control, monitor effluent results and propose mitigation/remedial measures for STPs failing regulatory requirements, so as to minimize revenue loss due to payment of License to Contravene fees (LTC).
Organize and ensure all public complaints are resolved within levels of service within defined areas.
Ensure refurbishment plants are testing and commissioning accordingly to produce the desired results within the defined area.
Assist in analysing effluent results and to coordinate and implement mitigation/remedial measures for STPs that fail regulatory requirements, so as to minimize revenue loss due to license to contravene (LTC) fees.
Coordinate implementation for the repairs of process equipment so as to ensure minimum downtime.
Train the personnel in Operational and Safe Working Procedures and ensure that these are followed rigorously in carrying out work.
Implement Guided Self-Regulation (GSR) at STP and comply with the related Act.
Monitor, supervise and analyse process control at all plant.
Identify potential risk at site, register and update risk in Risk Management System and to submit the registered risk to the risk owner for approval and update the progress.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University.
Possess high technical capability and analytical skills in O&M of water and wastewater treatment plants, with a minimum of 1-3 years related working experience.
Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Good interpersonal skills and personality.
