Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable on-site project engineer to lead end-to-end project execution under the department manager. The role involves coordinating with technical staff, managing subcontractors, and ensuring quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has a college degree in water-related engineering disciplines, hands-on water treatment project experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution under department manager.
• Maintain customer relationships and coordinate on-site requirements.
• Ensure construction quality and safety for projects.
• Carry out on-site project surveys and prepare bills of quantities.
• Coordinate subcontracting and material acceptance for small/medium projects.
• Assist in commissioning and complete commissioning records.
• Prepare project construction organization design and relevant schemes.
• Produce technical disclosures and written documents for sign-off by both parties.
• Resolve on-site technical issues with staff and provide timely feedback.
• Compile weekly project reports and submit promptly.

Strictly implement the company’s budget control.

Maintain customer relationships and track on-site business requirements.

Take charge of overall project implementation under the leadership of the department manager.

Communicate with technical staff to resolve technical issues and queries.

Prepare project construction organization design and relevant special-purpose schemes.

Conduct technical disclosure for each project, and generate written documents to be signed and confirmed by both parties.

Be familiar with system processes, coordinate and organize construction according to actual on-site conditions.

Carry out accurate on-site project survey, sort out bill of quantities and organize subcontracting.

Be responsible for daily after-sales service of projects, maintain customer relations and implement ad-hoc projects assigned by the department.

Address problems raised by on-site customers, with timely handling and feedback.

Compile weekly project reports as required by the department and submit them in a timely manner.

Manage and control construction quality and safety of projects.

Assist in project process commissioning, and complete various commissioning records and reports.

Job Requirements

College degree or above, major in Water Supply & Drainage, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplines.

Working experience in pan-semiconductor, display panel, photovoltaic solar and other industries, with hands-on experience in executing water treatment engineering projects in these sectors.

Minimum 3years of relevant working experience.

Proficient in the company’s pure water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.

Capable of independently managing construction quality, incoming engineering materials and equipment, and project acceptance for medium-and small-scale projects.

Able to read AutoCAD drawings; proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project.

Familiar with national and local policies, laws and regulations related to project construction management.

Excellent verbal and communication skills, strong team awareness and sense of responsibility, capable of working under high pressure.
