Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to provide hands-on field service and technical support for industrial water treatment systems at customer sites in Port Dickson.

You will conduct water sampling, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, assist with installation and commissioning, and prepare service reports.

Diploma or Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2–3 years in water treatment; valid driving licence; willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2–3 years of water treatment experience in refinery/oil & gas.
• Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support for industrial water treatment systems at customer sites
• Conduct water sampling, testing and system performance monitoring
• Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend solutions
• Support installation, start-up and commissioning of new applications
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance support when required
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper documentation
• Manage chemical inventory and support service reporting activities
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical support
• Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to improve system performance
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures

We are seeking a motivated Application Engineer to provide technical support for industrial water treatment systems across customer sites. The role involves hands-on field service, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal system performance for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support for industrial water treatment systems at customer sites
• Conduct water sampling, testing, and system performance monitoring
• Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend effective solutions
• Support installation, start-up, and commissioning of new applications
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance support when required
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper documentation
• Manage chemical inventory and support service reporting activities
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical support
• Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to improve system performance
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
• 2–3 years of water treatment experience in the refinery / oil & gas industry
• Experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industry is highly preferred
• Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Possess valid driving licence and willing to travel
• Independent, proactive, and customer-oriented
