Job summary

Smartlink Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive - CNC Machining to support our CNC machining operations. You will assist with machine setup, programming support, tooling, production monitoring and process improvement alongside Tool Shop, Engineering and QC teams.

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 2–3 years CNC milling and/or turning experience is required. Reading engineering drawings and basic GD&T knowledge are essential; CAM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant CNC machining experience.
• Experience in CNC Milling and/or Turning.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support daily CNC machining and production activities.
• Assist with CNC machine setup, tooling and job preparation.
• Prepare, modify and optimise CNC programs where required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Assist in selecting cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Monitor machining progress, productivity and machine utilisation.
• Troubleshoot basic CNC machining and production issues.
• Ensure machined components meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Work closely with QC to resolve quality and dimensional issues.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S and productivity initiatives.
• Provide technical support to CNC machinists and operators.
• Maintain relevant CNC programs and production records.

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are strengthening our Tool Shop team and looking for an Executive - CNC Machining to support our CNC machining operations.

About the Role :

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Executive - CNC Machining to support our CNC machining activities.

You will be involved in CNC machine setup, programming support, tooling, production monitoring, troubleshooting and process improvement while working closely with our Tool Shop, Engineering and QC teams.

Requirements :

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Machining Technology or related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant CNC machining experience.
• Experience in CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
• CAM software experience is an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in a hands-on Tool Shop/manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant CNC training or internship experience may also be considered.
