Job summary

IA International Assistance Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive – Accounts to manage daily AR transactions for domestic and international operations, perform bank reconciliations, and support month-end closing. The role requires SQL familiarity and experience with accounting software, along with a solid understanding of local tax laws.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, handle journal postings, payroll, and statutory entries, and assist with AP duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting/Finance
• 1-2 years finance/accounting experience in a multinational company
• Knowledge in SQL system/Accounting software
• Thorough understanding of local tax laws and regulations
• Experience in daily invoicing and reconciliation of invoice payments
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Knowledge in Accounting Standards and Reporting requirements
• Good working knowledge of local/international accounting standards and practices
• Basic research and analytical skills
• CPA/ACCA qualification will be a plus

Responsibilities

• Daily AR transactions for domestic and foreign operations, including HMS data reconciliation
• Maintain unprocessed schedule for GL accounts
• Prepare bank reconciliations for designated accounts
• Assist AR month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting and sales revenue schedules
• Support GP payments and office expenses (AP)
• Post journals for unrealised forex gains/losses
• Post monthly payroll and statutory journals
• Use data import/macros (PI, SI, Stock) to upload data to SQL
• Handle bank guarantee transactions and postings
• Support Credit Control with SOA queries

Job description

Executive – Accounts role involving daily accounting receivable (AR) transactions for domestic and foreign operations, bank reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and coordination with other departments on accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Daily accounting receivable (AR) transactions (domestic & foreign), including reconciliation of HMS data, reconciliation of reimbursement receipts from Payors, preparation of reimbursement payments within TAT, issuing of all TPA invoices, preparation and maintaining members data, issuing of official receipts and upload to SQL and allocations
• Maintaining the unprocessed schedule for GL accounts
• Preparation of bank reconciliations on designated accounts
• Assist in the AR (International and Domestic) month end closing, reconciliations, reporting and sales revenue schedules
• Assist and back up the GP payments and office expenses (AP)
• Responsible for journal posting for unrealised foreign gains and loss
• Responsible for the posting of monthly payroll and statutory journals
• Use of data import and macros (PI, SI and Stock), in uploading data to SQL
• Handle bank guarantee transactions and postings
• Provide support to Credit Control to respond to SOA queries from providers

About you

• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1-2 years finance/accounting related experience in a multinational company
• Knowledge in SQL system/Accounting software is compulsory
• Thorough understanding of the local tax laws and regulations
• Experience in daily invoicing and reconciliation of invoice payments
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Knowledge in Accounting Standard and Reporting requirements
• Good working knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
• Basic research and analytical skills
• CPA/ACCA qualification will be a plus
