Examining Role – Data Science Professional

The Examiner role is crucial in this process, working alongside ACCA subject matter experts.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Contributing to the continual development of the syllabus and assessment design.
2. Contributing to the exam prescription process, ensuring:

• Syllabus coverage is appropriate and aligns with the syllabus of the exam year being prescribed.
• Exams are balanced, fair, and reflect external guidance on exam structure.

Writing allocated exam questions for specific sections, ensuring that exam content:

• Aligns with and adequately covers the prescribed syllabus.
• Is set at the appropriate educational level.
• Tests a candidate’s knowledge of data science as defined within the syllabus.
• Is easily understood and appropriate for our global candidate population.
• Ensures exam material is accessible and understandable worldwide.

Participating in the technical review and quality assurance of exams, administering and monitoring the marking process, preparing reports, presentations, and support materials as needed, and maintaining exam security and integrity.
