Job summary

Accor's Convention Centre in Sepang invites energetic hospitality professionals to join our events team. In this banquet-focused role, you will assist with event preparation, guest greeting, food and beverage service, and ensuring smooth operation of conferences and banquets.

You will work with a supportive team, uphold safety and cleanliness standards, and deliver memorable experiences for guests while maintaining professional grooming and service standards.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia; English proficiency is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and service-oriented attitude.
• Demonstrates integrity, honesty and professionalism at all times.
• Good understanding of banquet operations and hotel functions.
• Able to work well in a team and fast-paced environment.
• Willing to assist with various tasks to ensure smooth event operations and guest satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Event Preparation & Setup - Review Banquet Event Orders and ensuring meeting rooms, tables, buffets, stations and equipment are prepared according to guest requirements.
• Food & Beverage Service - Prepare and serve welcome drinks, beverages, meals, coffee breaks, buffets and other banquet items while maintaining high service standards.
• Guest Service - Greet guests warmly, respond promptly to requests, communicate product and service information and ensure a positive dining and event experience.
• Event Operations - Support the Convention Centre Team in ensuring events run smoothly and on schedule, including making necessary adjustments during the event.
• Clearing and Replenishment - Clear tables, replenish buffet items and service stations, maintain tableware and ensure all areas are ready for the next event.
• Cleanliness and Safety - Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organisation and safety standards in meeting rooms and service areas.
• Teamwork & Communication - Communicate guest needs, operational issues and important information to the Convention Centre team and assist colleagues and other departments when required.
• Professional Standards - Maintain proper grooming and appearance standards while consistently meeting and exceeding guest expectations
