Job summary

Ecopia is seeking a Business Development and Client Acquisition professional in Malaysia. You will identify new opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers, and lead pitches and negotiations for events and experiential campaigns.

You will understand client objectives, curate concepts, and prepare compelling proposals, while coordinating with vendors to deliver profitable projects and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Events Management, especially agency experience.
• Experience in corporate events - live conference, launches, gala dinners, incentive trips.
• English required; Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin an advantage.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand existing agency's client portfolio.

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers.

Lead client pitches, presentations, negotiations, and proposal discussions.

Understand client objectives, marketing goals, and event requirements.

Curate creative event concepts, engagement strategies, and experiential solutions that address client needs.

Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitch materials.

Source and collaborate with vendors, partners, venues, and suppliers to develop innovative event solutions.

Develop comprehensive project budgets, cost estimates, and profitability projections.

Monitor project profitability and cost efficiency.

Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with clients and suppliers.

Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients.

Build long-term relationships through proactive communication and excellent service

Retain, grow, and maximize revenue opportunities within existing accounts.

Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Job Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in working in the Events Management industry or related field (especially agency experience) is required for this position.

Prior experience in corporate events - live conference, launch, gala dinners, incentive trips.

Knowledge or previous participation in Virtual and Webcast Events will be an added advantage.

Able to work under pressure and tight datelines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially in PowerPoint and Excel).

Required language: English, including presentation/public speaking skills (Verbal proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin isanadvantage).
